Brinstar Depths is a stage featured in Super Smash Bros. Melee for the GameCube, seemingly taking place in Kraid's Lair in Super Metroid. The stage is basically a large chunk of rock suspended in mid-air that starts to rotate as Kraid in the background slashes it with his colossal claws. For whatever reason, this is where the player is forced to fight Ganondorf in all-star mode, despite taking place in the Metroid series. All in all it is one of the more challenging stages and one that has been banned from tournaments because of the immense challenge it can pose in the heat of battle.

Unlike Brinstar, another stage in Melee, the player will die before he or she ever touches the lava. Because of this stage, Kraid appears as an unlocakable trophy.
