Braviary (JP)is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon that made its first appearance in the fifth Pokémon generation in the Black and White games. It evolves from Rufflet starting at level 54. A variant native to the Hisui region also exists. It has a Psychic/Flying dual type.

Physiology and Behaviour[]

Appearances[]

Pokémon Legends: Arceus: Hisuian Braviary is a supporting character in the game. It is one of the Ride Pokémon, a descendant of the Braviary that the Ancient hero befriended ages ago. It was beloved by the people of the Hisui region along with the other Ride and Noble Pokémon.

Origin[]

Because the setting of Pokémon Black and White, Unova, is based on the New York metropolitan area, the game designers considered how they could incorporate this setting — and more broadly, of America — into their designs. Braviary is based on the bald eagle, which is the national bird of the United States.

Hisuian Braviary appears to be based on the Steller's sea eagle, with its size, plumage, and southward migratory route to Hokkaido (the real-life basis for the Hisui region).
