Bomberman '93 (JP) is a Bomberman title for the PC-Engine/TurboGrafx-16. It was re-released in the on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console and later for the Wii U Virtual Console, with full multiplayer capability intact, in Japan, Europe and North America. It was released on November 21, 2006 in North America and it costs 600 Wii Points ($6 USD).

Bomberman is a maze style game similar to Pac-Man or Dig Dug.

The player navigates around a maze dropping bombs that explode after a delay. Some squares can be destroyed by bombs, opening paths or revealing trasures underneath. The base grid consists of blocks which cannot be destroyed and can used as shelters.

As the player picks up powerups ther are able to drop more than one bomb at a time, create a larger explosion or actually kick bombs. The map may have additional features such as conveyor belts, warp points or no-bomb squares that will affect the strategy.

In single player mode the goal is to cause all the monsters in the maze to die in explosions. In multiplayer mode there are no monsters and there can be up to five characters, either player or computer controlled, running around the map.
