A Blue Shield is an enemy in 1000 A.D. in Chrono Trigger.

The Trial[]
Crono encounters Blue Shields as he tries to make his escape from the prison in Guardia Castle. It is actually a creature called Yodu De that holds a shield. If Crono attacks while the creature uses the shield, he won't do much damage. He must wait until the creature moves the shield.
