Banjo-Kazooie: The New Adventure Begins is the seventh of the promotional videotapes put out by Nintendo, sent out to Nintendo Power subscribers and also made available for rental at Blockbuster Video stores or for free purchase at Toys R Us stores. As its title suggests, it was made to promote the soon-to-be-released Banjo-Kazooie.

As with Nintendo 64 Introduces Three New Ways to Bring It before it, the video again has no live-action footage. It instead consists almost entirely of gameplay footage, with narration provided by Jon Lovitz, who explains everything about the game.

At least three different versions of the video were released, with the difference being a variable line Lovitz says near the end of the video (after "Coming June 29th, only from Nintendo and Rare!"), which would depend on where the video originally came from. In copies that were sent to Nintendo Power subscribers, Lovitz says "Check it out now, at your nearest Nintendo retailer." In copies given out at Toys R Us, he instead said "Check it out now, available at your nearest Toys R Us!", while copies that were available for rental at Blockbuster had him saying "Rent it now, at any Blockbuster Video!"

As with all the Nintendo 64 promotional videos before it, this one ends with a montage of footage from other Nintendo 64 games that were coming in the near future:
