History

The company was established on March 31, 2006 as Bandai Namco Games, Inc.(JP) following the merger of Bandai and Namco. The company would be known as Namco Bandai Games, Inc. in some other countries until April 1, 2014, when the name was changed to match up with its Japanese counterpart. Banpresto merged into the company in November 2007. On April 1, 2015, Bandai Namco Games changed its name to Bandai Namco Entertainment.
