Balloon Busters is a luck-based 4-Player Mic minigame in Mario Party 7 and Mario Party: The Top 100.

Gameplay[]

The players take turns inflating a large balloon. To inflate it, they must say "Bigger" into the Nintendo GameCube microphone and "Stop" to end their turn. If they're playing with a GameCube controller, they must press the R Button then select either "Bigger" to inflate the balloon or "Stop" to pass. The players can inflate a balloon up to five times, and they cannot pass until they at least inflate the balloon once. If they don't do so after their time is up, the player will automatically inflate the balloon and run behind the barrier. When the balloon is close to popping, the characters will cover their ears and run faster to the barrier after their turn is over. The player who is behind the barrier after the balloon pops wins.

This minigame was reworked in Mario Party: The Top 100, where the players are eliminated one by one. The controls are different, with the players blowing into the Nintendo 3DS microphone or pressing the L Button to inflate the balloon, and pressing the B Button to pass. When the balloon pops, the player standing next to it is eliminated and another will appear in its place, and the game continues until one player remains.
