Ball Guy is a non-playable character in Pokémon Sword and Shield. They are an unknown individual who has taken it upon themself to become the Pokémon League's mascot.

Ball Guy appears inside gym lobbies and gives various types of Poké Balls to the player.
Pokémon Masters EX[]
Ball Guy is a playable sync pair in the game. They were introduced in an event where the player searches for Voltorbs. They also appear in a second event where Victor, Ethan, and Elio search for them after they cause chaos around Pasio, having discovered there are no wild Pokémon there and thus no need for Poké Balls.
Trivia[]
- Although the name Ball Guy implies the character is male, most sources refer to them without a specific gender. Some social media posts refer to Ball Guy with masculine pronouns, though with hesitation before doing so.
