Backyard Hockey is a sports game (focused on ice hockey) for the Nintendo DS. It is licensed by the National Hockey League and its Player's Association. The Nintendo DS game was only released in North America.
Gameplay[]
The game allows the player to build a team from 30 backyard kids and 10 kid-versions of NHL pro players. Mike Modano, Jaromir Jagr, Martin Brodeur, Paul Kariya, and Jarome Iginla are among the NHLers in the game.
As in the real-world sport of hockey, the object is to score more goals than the opposing team to win the game.
