Aya Kyogoku is the manager of the Nintendo EPD Production Group No. 5, mostly known for her work in the Animal Crossing series. She was formerly involved on Nintendo EAD 2.
History[]
Kyogoku started working in the game industry in 2000 with Atlus and continued working there until September 2003, when she was hired by Nintendo. She got her start at the company as a scriptwriter on two The Legend of Zelda titles: Four Swords Adventures and Twilight Princess.
She later moved to work on the Animal Crossing series, starting with City Folk. She was a co-director of New Leaf with Isao Moro, where she led a revolutionary movement within Nintendo with the women designers. Since Happy Home Designer, Kyogoku has become the co-producer of the Animal Crossing series, along with Hisashi Nogami.
