AoT Humanity in Chains

Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains (Attack on Titan: Last Wings of Humanity in Japan and Shingeki no Kyoji: Humanity in Chains in PAL regions) is an action game developed by Spike Chunsoft based on the popular Attack on Titan manga and anime series. They rereleased the game as Attack on Titan: Last Wings of Humanity ~Chain~ in 2014 with the DLC included and an online multiplayer mode. In 2015, Atlus brought the game to the West.

Gameplay

In the single-player, the player plays as members of the cast defeating Titans. In the original, only Eren, Mikasa and Armin were playable in the base game, with Levi and Sasha Blouse added as DLC. This is included in the Chain and the Western release.

World Mode

This is the online co-op mode where up to 4 players can take on Titans, harder than the main single player. Players use either their premade character or take in the heroes from the single player and can use CPU Players to substitute for actual players if necessary.

Plot

Reception

The game sold fairly well in its initial release, with 286,752 sold according to Famitsu as of January 2015. The expansion, Chain, did about 74 thousand as of January 2015. However, critical reception was rather poor.

Trivia

Due to copyright, the game was delayed in PAL regions and changed from Attack on Titan to Shingeki no Kyojin, the direct Japanese title.
