Ape, Inc.(JP)(CN) was a game developer run by Shigesato Itoi. Ape worked on the Mother series, Mario's Super Picross and The Monopoly Game 2.
Tsunekazu Ishihara and several staff left Ape to form Creatures Inc.
The company still exists for the purpose of managing its own IPs.
