Another Code: R – A Journey into Lost Memories (JP) (formerly known as Trace Memory: R, Gateway of Memory) is a Wii video game released in 2009 by Cing and Nintendo. It is the successor to Another Code: Two Memories (Trace Memory in America). This game was only released in Japan and Europe and it was not released in North America or Australia.
In 2023 it was announced that A Journey into Lost Memories and Two Memories would be remade for the Nintendo Switch in Another Code: Recollection, the first time A Joruney into Lost Memories was released in North American and Australian markets.
Gameplay[]
Like the previous game, Another Code R is a point-and-click adventure game with puzzule-solving, exploration, interractions, and photography. The game references many aspects of the game Hotel Dusk: Room 215. The player uses the Wii Remote to control Ashley.
Players can explore in two sections: Exterior and Interior. Exterior allows the player to freely explore, while in Interior, it is usually fixed-camera with rotation.
Plot[]
Set two years after the orginal game, Ashley Mizuki Robins sets out to find the truth on why her mother visited a place called Lake Juliet before she died.
