Altered Beast (JP) is a arcade beat 'em up originally released in arcades in 1988 and later on various other consoles mainly the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and also ported for the Nintendo Famicom in Japan. Both arcade and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive versions were re-released for Wii Virtual Console while the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive version was on the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS.
