Adventure Island is a Nintendo Entertainment System video game released in 1986. It was developed and published by Hudson, and was later released on the Wii's Virtual Console. It was re-released in Japan as a Famicom Mini. A remake for the game was also released exclusively in Japan for the GameCube
Worlds
The game had eight worlds or zones that the main character would be required to venture through. In each world, there are three levels, and at the end of the third level, you will encounter a boss. Each level also has a checkpoint that the character will return to when he dies.
Reception
It was well recieved by critics such as GameSpot who gave the game a 6.5 out of 10 rating calling it "fast paced, challenging platformer."
