"A Poké-BLOCK Party!" is the 39th episode of Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire and the penultimate episode of Pokémon Advanced. It is also the 315th episode of Pokémon the Series overall.

Plot[]

Ash Ketchum and friends finally reach Mauville City, but is forced to wait a bit longer for his next Gym battle as the gang see an advert for a Pokémon Trick House Contest, offering anyone who makes it through with a one year supply of Poké-block. May is eager to win the prize, so the gang decide to enter, and meet up with a girl called Alanna and her Whismur. But when Jigglypuff decides to perform its song, things may get complicated for the gang and Team Rocket too. This is Jigglypuff's last appearance until Alola, Kanto!, more than 10 years later.

  • When Jessie falls and pushes the log off the ledge purposely during the second puzzle, she makes a reference to Life Alert Emergency Response, saying their commercials' trademark slogan: "I've fallen and I can't get up!"
  • The dub title is a reference to a block party.
  • This is the first episode in which Jigglypuff's eyes are colored green, instead of their previous blue color.
  • It is the last episode that Rachael Lillis provided Jigglypuff's voice in English. Michele Knotz took over after Jigglypuff's return,
