"A Corphish Out of Water" is the 24th episode of Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire, and the 300th episode of Pokémon the Series. It was first broadcast in Japan on May 8, 2003 and in the United States on February 28, 2004.
Plot[]
The gang encounters Team Rocket, and Corphish is injured following a battle. Ash Ketchum must rush his newest Pokémon to the Pokémon Center on Dewford Town, which is surrounded by a school of hungry Carvanha. May's Wurmple evolves into Silcoon, while Jessie's Wurmple evolves into Cascoon.

- This is the first time in which two main characters' Pokémon evolve in the same episode since Ekans and Koffing evolved in Dig Those Diglett!.
- However, this is the first time in which two main characters' Pokémon of the same species evolve in the same episode.
- Following the trend from the previous episode, the title is a pun of a common phrase involving fish. In this case, it's the phrase "a fish out of water".
- Coincidentally, both episodes have "Corphish" in the title.
- This episode marks the first confirmed appearance of Pikachu's Poké Ball since Snow Way Out!, and its only confirmed appearance in Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire.
