Prove me wrong.
Prove me wrong.
I have no energy left lol... after my exams I may revive this comment and debate XD
Aight.
You say that you don't like the bosses because it is just five different ganons but they are all extremely DIFFERENT from one another so they aren't "the laziest piece of trash bosses in any zelda game". and also none of the bosses are required except calamity ganon so you can't describe the ganons and the yiga clan leader as "mandatory bosses".
(uh don’t you have to defeat all the ganons in the sanctum [is that what it’s called? I can’t remember] even if you directly go to the castle without going to the divine beasts and fight ganon?)
By mandatory, I just mean if you're planning on doing all the Divine beasts, then you have to fight all the Ganons and the Yiga clan leader. Also yeah, the Ganons are still always mandatory even if you don't do the Divine Beasts.
As for the bosses, they all felt exactly the same to me while playing, probably because the combat is so boring, there's absolutely no pizazz to it whatsoever, it's just dodge and hit. And flurry rushes I guess, but those look and feel really dumb. There's nothing that makes the combat stand out at all. And to make things worse, whenever you hit something, the sound effect is the most pathetic thing in the world, just a tiny little pshh, how am I supposed to feel like I'm doing something if doesn't even sound like I'm doing anything, and to make things even worse, once you finish a set of attacks the enemy will ragdoll and fly into the air, or just ragdoll if they're too big, EVEN THE FLIPPING BOSSES WILL RAGDOLL.
So maybe the bosses are different from one another, but it didn't feel like it and even if they are different, and I still didn't enjoy them at all.
OK I’M BACK - I HAVE GIVEN UP ON STUDYING
So there are reasons why i love the game so much but I think I will just explain a few today
I’m basically biased caused it’s the first game I got... so yea.
The open world a.k.a. I explain my subconscious trying to make me collect everything and anything.
Methods of paying.
Now you’re gonna argue that the open world is really empty. I agree. That‘s actually why I love it so much. It’s seemingly empty but when I take a closer look, there’s small things to be found — not only koroks that go yahaha I can hear them in my mind as I am typing this out — like the insects. I’m the kind of person that likes to collect everything and everything so you can imagine how many mushrooms and fruit I have in my inventory as of now... I think it’s just me that does this ‘trying to collect everything’ because I know people who won’t bother ans just run off to fight monsters.
The other thing about the open world, it’s pretty. I do play Genshin Impact as well and I can see the similarities in the world (though my genshin runs at like a measly framerate). Not everyone cares about a pretty open world so I think that’s another thing that is just really really subjective to the person playing it. I know there are also other games but we’re not doing comparisons here, I’m just stating why. [you know, at this rate imma prob end up liking most games...]
And also the way I play it. I share the Switch with my family and my brother loves to go straight up to monsters and fight them whereas I’m the kind to go around the monsters or use a sneaky potion to avoid them — sometimes even stealing the weapons. I like the way it allows us to either straight up go and fight the monsters or sneak sneak.
That’s it for today :D
I have a game suggestion for you, Horizon Zero Dawn, It's open-world has way more to do in it. It looks prettier than BoTW imo.
The combat is really unique and melee attacks actually have some oomph to 'em, most of the combat is using a bow but it is super satisfying as the machines that you fight have these components that do a lot more damage to them than just shooting their armor, and if a component on a machine is for example, a blaze canister and you shoot it with a fire arrow there will be a MASSIVE super satisfying explosion that does a ton of damage, and since some of the components are pretty small, it makes it even more rewarding and satisfying when you actually manage to hit it, to make it even more rewarding and satisfying, almost every component has a specific arrow to use against it, power cell: electric arrow, freeze canister: ice arrow, blaze canister: fire arrow, but besides those three components that explode when you shoot them with arrows, there are a bunch of components that are weak to other arrows like tear arrows, piercing arrows, also some machines are weak to certain status effects so that if you aren't the best aim, you can still shoot them with what their body is weak against. There's a little bit more to the combat, but as you can see it is a lot more in-depth than BoTW's, and it may seem overwhelming but the game presents you these mechanics in a way that isn't overwhelming at all, and then lets you free to explore the combat system however you like. I absolutely adore the combat in Horizon Zero Dawn,
The characters are not the most phenomenal thing in this game, 'specially when you look at the lip-syncing, it's not the best since it's an open-world, but the characters are still a heck-of-a-lot better than BoTW, 'specially when you ignore the bad lip-syncing. The story is way more compelling as it doesn't tell it to you in the first hour of the game, it leaves itself a mystery for you to unravel the fate of the old ones. There's a bunch more but I suggest you play it yourself and find out what that is, seriously I love Horizon Zero Dawn so much, not as much as Undertale, but nothing is ever going to top Undertale, other than maybe Deltarune.
Dammit, he's right, it is prettier than BotW.
Will try that game out XD
Honestly I’m just caught up in school right now
Sweet
What do you think?
