The ninth generation system the switch was edited to 8th when it is well known to be the ninth as cited by nintendo announcing it as their next generation system making it 9 just like the switch 2 is 10th and that they did not release a extra 8th gen system the wii U and 3DS are it

Possibly also by one of the mods of wiki that said they would ignore nintendo announcing the switch as a next gen system over the wii u because they dident want nintendo to have the first 9th gen system
